“As The Rumors Churn” should be
the name of this issue. Now it is time
to set the story straight. As most of
you know Empire Development has made a name for itself in both Residential and
Commercial construction. As a business
owner it is difficult to run two sides of a company and something had to give. The decision came clear to me just a short
time ago and here is how it happened.
About a month and a half ago I was approached
by TCI and started talks about me joining their team as their Regional Projects
Manager. At first I wasn’t so sure until
I read the job description and researched the company. What I noticed about this position is that it
was everything I want to do; business development, project management and
having all the resources in one company to make any project happen.
After three interviews, TCI sent
me an offer I couldn’t refuse so I have accepted the position. This new opportunity catapults my career in a
way I couldn’t imagine! So you ask
yourself “WHAT HAPPENS TO EMPIRE?” My
plan is to make Empire Development strictly residential. The commercial jobs we are involved in will
go with me to TCI and I will continue to be involved in sales and management
for the next few months working part time with TCI as things are managed on
Empire’s end. Empire is not closing its
doors. We will continue to uphold our
warranties with past clients, fulfill our obligations with our vendors and
subcontractors and continue to build and remodel like before. Through this transition we will be moving out
of our building and I will be leasing it out.
So to squash the rumors. We are
not going bankrupt, we have not sold our building yet, we will continue to do
business in the residential market and I will still be accessible. If for some reason you hear something that
contradicts this information I would like you to explain to them what you know
and if you don’t know the answer please have them call me. I am accessible via cell phone, Facebook,
email, text, home phone, LinkedIn…..
Well you get the picture.
Yes, things will be different and
the company once again will go through change but it is an opportunity for me
and I have been blessed to be a part of what I have grown. Please continue to refer your friends and family
to Empire as we will continue in the residential market. I will still be the point of contact until
the company moves into new management.
Thank you all for your support
and patronage through the last 13 years and now you now know the facts of the
matter.
